Working Principle
Raw materials enter the variable-frequency feeder, then undergo conditioning in the mixer to achieve optimal texture. After conditioning, the material flows through a bypass gate in the chute into the pelletizing chamber of cattle feed pellet machine. Here, dual rollers compress the mixture into pellets. Operators can monitor the cutting process between the cutting blades and ring die through the observation window to adjust the final pellet size.
Key Technology Of Cattle Feed Pellet Machine

304 Stainless Steel Ring Die—More Durable Than 202 Grade
The ring die is the core component of a pellet mill, with its quality directly impacting the machine’s durability and the final pellet’s performance. While the industry typically uses 202 stainless steel ring dies, RICHI cattle feed pellet machines employ high-grade 304 stainless steel. This ensures superior functionality and longevity, significantly boosting the pellet mill’s production efficiency.

Release-Type Stepped Hole Ring Die Aperture —More Cost-Effective Than External Conical Holes
The extent to which material can enter and co-rotate with the ring die directly impacts the granulator’s production capacity. While various aperture types exist in the industry, the release-type stepped holes at the ring die’s upper end offer greater cost savings than external conical holes, effortlessly achieving maximum output at minimal expense.

40CrMnTi Carburized Roller Shells—More Comprehensive Than 40Cr Alloy Steel
The compactness of rolled pellets determines whether the final product is dense and palatable, ultimately influencing whether feed achieves the goal of increasing meat and milk production during feeding. While 40Cr alloy steel is commonly used for roll shells in the industry, RICHI cattle feed pellet machines employ premium 40CrMnTi material with dual-sided carburizing. This extends roll shell lifespan, enhances feed grip, and produces denser pellets.

Adaptive Safety Pins—More Effective Than Single-Type Solutions
Foreign objects inside the pellet machine, if undetected, cause mechanical wear, reduce pellet quality in the same batch, and shorten equipment lifespan. RICHI cattle Feed pellet machines use safety pins of varying hardness for different models. These instantly detect foreign objects upon entry, enabling rapid removal. This avoids the issues of single-type pins failing to break small impacts or easily snapping under large ones.

Advantages And Features Of Cattle Feed Pellet Machines

Harder Pellets
RICHI cow pellet machines utilize dual-shaft differential modulation, enhancing material gelatinization and cooking efficiency for superior compression. The ring die features a 1:9 compression ratio with 60mm wall thickness, prolonging pellet residence time within the chamber. This results in denser outer layers, higher pellet formation rates, and reduced crumbling—perfectly achieving higher sales and profits!

Lower Energy Consumption
RICHI cattle feed pellet machine utilizes a hardened gear 6-stage gearbox for higher transmission efficiency and lower power consumption. The dual-shaft differential modulator recovers steam heat, successfully reducing additional work by the main motor. Direct gear connection eliminates belt slippage, effectively minimizing grid penalties. Enjoy worry-free operation with lower energy consumption.

Extended Service Life
The RICHI cattle pellet machine upgrades ring dies and rollers with high-grade carburizing technology, achieving surface hardness of 58HRC-62HRC and core hardness of 30HRC-35HRC. This enables dual-sided component usage, extending mechanical lifespan while minimizing replacement and downtime rates. Effectively reduces downtime losses by up to $80,000.

The entire process of cattle feed pelleting
A single cattle feed pellet machine may not cover the entire production process; it depends on the specific circumstances. If you already possess the other equipment required for the pre- and post-pelletizing stages, or if your raw materials meet pelletizing standards, then a single cow feed pellet making machine can indeed handle the production of finished cattle feed pellets. Otherwise, a complete production line configuration is necessary to achieve the pelletizing goal.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you have further questions about cattle pellet machines, you may find answers by referring to the following inquiries:
What are the main structural components of a cattle feed pellet mill?
+
1. Variable Frequency Feeder
The variable frequency feeder employs an integrated structure of a variable frequency motor and reducer. It achieves stepless adjustment of the feed screw speed by altering the frequency. Parts in contact with materials are made of 304 stainless steel, with the screw blades coated with a 1.2mm wear-resistant layer.
2. Conditioner
The conditioner incorporates forged steel paddles for adjusting material propulsion speed and angle. Steam inlet ports are installed above each conditioner layer. Most steam enters through the inlet ports in the first conditioner layer, ensuring immediate material-steam contact. This enhances material gelatinization and pasting, facilitating optimal pelletization.
3.Pelletizing Chamber
The ring die inside the pelletizing chamber connects to a hollow shaft. A large gear is fixed to the hollow shaft and meshes with a gear shaft driven by the main motor, forming a closed-loop rotation system. The internal pressure roller is adjusted via an eccentric shaft, creating a near-contact, near-rotation effect with the ring die during granulation.
Simultaneously, two cutting blades on the housing draw material upward during high-speed rotation. This material strikes the deflector plate and is forced between the ring die and cutting blades for compression and particle separation.
What capacity machine should I buy when starting with 20 cows?
+
Your material is suitable as long as it falls under the category of organic biomass and meets our pellet machine’s operational requirements. PV materials and plastics are not compatible with our pellet machines.
What motor power is sufficient?
+
Motor power should be determined by output capacity. For example, a 1T/H output requires a 22KW-30kW motor. Motors below 18kW may clog during winter when grass powder content is high, hindering production.
Should Cattle Feed Pellet Machines use flat die or ring die?
+
Cattle feed is ruminant feed. When grass powder content exceeds 15%, a ring die is required. For less than 5% grass powder, a flat die is suitable. Content below 5% is typically used for small-scale rabbit or poultry feed production.
Does a Cattle Feed Pellet Machine require a conditioner?
+
Without a conditioner, pellets produced are semi-finished goods. A cattle pellet machine must incorporate a single-layer conditioner with a minimum 30-second processing time. Failure to do so compromises pellet hardness and increases powder content.
